Submission Guidelines for Guest Bloggers

At In Pursuit of Fulfillment, I’m always happy to publish posts from guest bloggers. In addition to helping to provide great content to my readers, it’s another way I can help “pay it forward.” Statistics show that guest blogging is a great way to build traffic and draw new readers to your own blog or site.

I think we can all learn from one another, and I’d love the opportunity to learn from my guest posters. And, to help pay it forward, I will offer all kinds of promotion and link love for my guest posters–this will help them gain traffic and reader interest in their own blogs or sites.

If you’re interested in submitting a guest post, please take note of the following submission guidelines.

Only guest posts that meet these criteria will be considered for publishing.

• The post must be related in some way to the mission of this blog, including topics related to personal development, personal fulfillment or living well, and must be useful to the readers of this blog.
• The post must be grammatically correct and well-written. I reserve the right to edit all guest posts for quality, though I will not change the concept or meaning of the post.
• The post must not include marketing-related links and must not be entirely self-promotional.
• The post may include links to your website and blog in a brief author’s bio (approximately 3 sentences), which will be published at the end of the guest post.
• You are also welcome to link to related posts or articles on your own or other sites within the text of your guest blog post.
• For the most part, guest posts must be original and may not have been published elsewhere online already.  All submissions will be verified for originality using a tool such as Copyscape.com or Plagium.com.
• On rare occasion, reprints may be accepted. Contact me to discuss possible reprints on a case-by-case basis.
• Posts that contain negativity and hate will not be considered. This includes any post that promotes racism, religious intolerance, sexism or that promotes any other form of prejudice.

Please note: Guest posts that are approved for publishing will be published without notice. As a courtesy, I do try to notify guest bloggers when their posts have been published, but since we’re all very busy, please check the blog periodically to see if your post has been published.

Please submit guest posts in one of the following file types: .doc, .docx or .txt. If these file types don’t work for you, you may paste the post directly into an email. Be sure to include a photo and brief bio, along with any links you’d like included in your post. All guest post submissions should be emailed to me at angela@angelaatkinson.com.
